Chevalier Open House 2017
After months of planning and coordinating, we are proud to say we had a successful Open House in May of this year! It has been more than 10 years since we last held an open house. We were excited to feature eleven machines in our showroom and happy to have received positive feedback from our dealers. During the event, our QP5X-400 was running an air cut of a manifold that was pre-cut from a solid block of aluminum with one operation to show the 5 axis capability of the machine. We used a 1000psi CTS System and demonstrated a 0.71” diameter hole 5” deep demo cut using our QP2443 VMC. With the same machine, we also performed a demo cut of a steel barbeque smoker. Our vertical turning lathe with live tooling FVL-1250VTC+C appeared to draw the most attention because it demonstrated a 0.5” deep cuts on alloy steel, removing total of 1 inch with only 50% spindle load. In addition, one of our smaller box ways slant-bed lathe was constantly running during the show in order to cut a Chevalier Rook Chess piece for every guest to take home. Last but not least, our SMART-B818III was running a dressing demo and our FSG-1632ADIII was running a rotatory table demo throughout the event. Our Open House is featured on Manufacturing News July issue in all regions. You can access their digital edition on their website http://www.mfgnewsweb.com/.
