SMART-818 CONSTRUCTION FEATURES

High Precision Cartridge Type Spindle is supported by 4 pieces class 7 (P4) super precision, pre-loaded angular contact ball bearings. The spindle is directly coupled with low vibration class V3 spindle motor.
Double "V" design, Turcite-B coated and then hand-scraped longitudinal ways between table and saddle provide the rigidity for delicate side grinding.
Crossfeed MPG handwheel and elevating MPG handwheel can simultaneously control 2 axes.
One-piece, T-shaped base casting offers offers superior rigidity. Turcite-B coated and hand-scraped crossfeed guideways between base and saddle are of double "V" design, providing full table support and eliminating overhangs.
Headstock elevation accuracy is adjusted by gibs. Counterweight balance system ensures micro downfeed accuracy
