I needed a machine with more speed, higher rpm and can handle
high-volume production with minimum downtime, I didn’t have to look
farther. I found the FTC-1320V at the 2001 Westec Show. I like what I
saw and later requested a special turnkey system to meet my needs.
Chevalier engineers immediately went to work and came up with a special
workpiece holder on the pallet changer. |
Now I have a machine that’s dedicated to do one thing: mill these locking bushings in huge quantities per day. Milling is about 5 seconds per bushing and what I liked the most is that there is no time lost during tool change. Placement and removal of the workpieces in the fixture is so easy, it only takes seconds. |
The operating system is so simple, no technical training whatsoever was required for the operator. Just about everybody in my shop knows how to run the machine. We do 8,000 parts a day, 5 days a week. If we need to meet a deadline, I just have my operator work a few hours and we could easily do 10,000. |
